Davide Santon (born 2 January, 1991) is an Italian right back who is currently playing for the Serie A champions, Inter Milan. He is a pacey full back who is known for his dynamic and energetic bursts down the right hand side of the pitch. He is also a member of the Italian national team.

Club career[edit]

Early career[edit]

After playing as a youth for lower league club Ravenna since the age of 8, Santon signed for the Internazionale youth system in 2005. He was a regular talented winger for the U-20's before moving into a more defensive role. He helped the U-20's Campionato Primavera, a competition between all of the Serie A and Serie B's Under 20's players, he was called up to the first team's pre-season training by José Mourinho.

2008-09 Season with Internazionale[edit]

Mourinho named Santon as a substitute in Inter's Champions League group games but didn't play him in any of them. Santon finally made his debut in the quarter final of the Coppa Italia, against A.S. Roma playing the full match.

2011 Season[edit]

In the January transfer window, Santon was loaned out to A.C. Cesena until the end of the season
